Hi! My name is Tina Nestor. I have been married for 29 years and have 2 children. I started working with flowers in 1988 at a wholesale floral supply company in Tucson, AZ. I have worked in just about every aspect of the floral industry, including flower shops and grocery store floral departments. I also briefly owned a small business called “Encased Beauty” that specialized in weddings and special occasions.
I have really enjoyed working with flowers over the years but became a little burned out. So in 1998, I decided to go back to school and become a Certified Surgical Technologist. Now, I also currently work at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
I truly love my job, but I never fully lost the desire to design and work with flowers. So I decided in 2004 that I would teach floral design. I wanted to share all of my knowledge and skill that I had learned over the years with others. And to further my own knowledge and skills, I then received my certification as a Master Florist.
I started Create Yours, LLC. I have taught in churches, homes, country clubs, and other various businesses. I have also taught classes at Paradise Valley Community College in their fall and spring semesters.
I get SO excited about teaching floral design! I receive so much enjoyment seeing others after they have created their own unique arrangement. They are excited and thrilled by what they have learned and accomplished. They take their arrangements to their homes, to their mothers, friends, or offices. The people they share them with are impressed by their work, moved by their gift that was given to them with a personal touch, and overjoyed with the beauty that only fresh flowers can give.
